Isabel Amat, Chief Pharmaceutical Development Officer Isabel Amat
Isabel Amat is a graduate in Chemistry by the University of Barcelona and she took part in the Program for Management Development at the IESE Business School (Barcelona). She is co-inventor of the RUTI® vaccine. She was responsible for the transfer of knowledge between the Unitat de Tuberculosi Experimental at the Foundation Institut de Ciències de la Salut Germans Trias i Pujol where the vaccine project was carried out, and the company. Isabel Amat and her team have achieved important goals including pharmaceutical laboratory accreditation and the performing of Phase I and Phase II clinical trials of the RUTI® vaccine.

Isabel Amat's background combines scientific knowledge with over 10 years experience managing a biotech team.
Pere-Joan Cardona, Chief Scientific Officer Pere-Joan Cardona
Doctor specialized in Clinical Microbiology and MD by the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), he is the chief of the Experimental Tuberculosis Unity of the Germans Trias i Pujol Institute (IGTP) and Associated Teacher of the Genetics and Microbiology Department of the UAB from 2001. After his training at the Colorado State University (1995-96), he devoted to the study of tuberculosis in its more immuno-pathological side through "in vitro", "in vivo" and "in silico" experimental models using human origin tissues.
He has been the Scientific and Medical Director of Archivel Farma during the Phase I and Phase II clinical trials of the RUTI® vaccine.
Reviser of several international specialized magazines, he is editor of the book "Understanding Tuberculosis"; he is author of 5 book chapters and of 70 articles revised by experts (index h=21). He is also Academic Editor of the PLOS One magazine since 2009.
He is author of 7 invention patents, 4 of them referred to the RUTI® vaccine, the first therapeutic vaccine against latent tuberculosis.
