Archivel Farma has decide to launch its new website to coincide with the World TB Day 2018 (March 24) as a way of reminding the importance of awareness to continue fighting against a disease that produces more than 10 million new cases every year and that, in 2016, caused more than 1.7 million deaths.

The new Archivel website provides extensive information on the development strategy of RUTI®, Archivel’s anti-tuberculosis therapeutic vaccine. Currently, it is focused on the treatment of multi-drug resistant tuberculosis (with a Phase II clinical trial under way in the Netherlands, which will be soon extended to Eastern Europe), but Archivel is also researching on the use of RUTI® for other indications, such as asthma and allergic rhinitis, or bladder cancer.

In addition to the publication of its new website, Archivel Farma supported once more the celebration of World TB Day in Barcelona, sponsoring the seminar organized on March 15 by the Tuberculosis Investigation Unit of Barcelona. The event counted, among other speakers, with Katrina Rios, Director of Strategic Partnerships in Emocha Mobile Health, who presented a mobile tracking experience of TB patients; Ernesto Jaramillo, of the WHO World Tuberculosis Program; and the TV3 director, Vicent Sanchís (program).
