Archivel Farma is pleased to share the progress achieved through an R&D project focused on the development and production of bacteriophages targeting Staphylococcus aureus and Klebsiella pneumoniae, two clinically relevant pathogens associated with difficult-to-treat infections and antimicrobial resistance.
Through this work, the company has started the development of a platform for the manufacturing of customized bacteriophages, including phage production, characterization, and assessment of antimicrobial activity.
Consistent with Archivel Farma’s approach to process development, the project was conducted with GMP technology transfer in mind, supporting the translation of innovative biological products toward clinical use.
